My vocabulary is scary There are A million letters In my language No one Can understand me Poor communication skills That’s how I lost my family Not knowing How to communicate With the rich I turned My beautiful black story Into an African porn flick And We thank the crackas For the porn The plastic And the cheese We loving Living backwards And as For Power and disease Well We can’t handle Either one Cause since they Took away the drum And gave it back To some The rest of us Have placed our trust In the beautiful music That Poverty strums And On our knees Begging for crumbs As Babylon greens Polluting our tongues Left with the breath Of 26 letters Broken white English Will surely Tastes better In the land of never With weak black Lungs In places that we hung New faces That were brung From this and that Hemisphere Them is fear That you been eating The names Of every ass beating Running through Your veins. Brain You box Token That’s spoken Can’t speak no more Teachers get weaker And close the door ‘cause They know What the What we’re here for 26 letters No better no more This is All the room You have to explore A couple of If’s and’s and maybe’s Be careful Of the or’s F*** up all you want We ain’t keeping score You can search the whole Ocean And never know Your shores Never know the ocean floor Never know If you are sure Because The language ain’t Been written yet A 26 letter box Locked away So I’ll forget All the words I can’t express

Very true. Sometimes we can't be who we are because there is no one to open the door and let our story be heard, so we shut down. Thanks for sharing, DL Mullan
