E.M. Forster said, "Only connect."
The film "Avatar" gives us the words, "I see you." The writer's goal is to reach an audience, even an audience of one. (Picture from Gizmodo)

Writer's Journey

Warn the karate instructor!

Today the delete key overheated,

The trashcan filled up (twice) with crumpled wads of paper,

My fingernails gnawed ragged as I worry.

But then

Joy squeezes my heart.

The sentence dances,

Reborn from lying inert,

Dead as the sodden leaves.

For such moments,

Ink has flowed,

Tears have spilled,

And hope is renewed by the right word.

Heart, brain, my inveterate will

to write on

and on and on

Hear me and remember

For next time.

"When joy squeezes the heart" is such a magnificent way to phrase it. Thanks a bunch. J'nia

I love this part... it says so much,

Joy squeezes my heart.

The sentence dances,

Reborn from lying inert,

Dead as the sodden leaves.

Cheers,
Dan

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
