Funny,
I’ve never noticed the way you sleep
With your mouth open and snore,
Until now,
Or the way the covers rise and fall
As your eyelids flicker
At visions of worlds I’ll never see
I feel alienated
Here, in the gray hours before dawn,
Watching you and listening
To the silence, punctuated by your breath,
And knowing
Though we often come so close
We are one,
We are still separate,
Each alone within ourselves.
And so I wait
For the sun to rise
And your eyes to open,
Blinking at the day,
And hope you’ll gradually turn and smile
As though you had never been away.
Be always safe,
Karen
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
Inspiring and enchanting words in "Reunion" stimulate romance and togetherness.
Keep posting, Poet.

Yes, my friend we are all individuals with our own idiosyncracies. Loving each other for whom we are and not for what we do is all part of the big picture. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
This is beautiful, with memorable lines - particularly loved,
" ... I feel alienated
Here, in the gray hours before dawn ...." (and you say you're not a Poet LOL)
Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
