On a stage
An icon performed
Wearing shoes laced to the top
Of their game
Singing words that echoed
Through valves of countless
Adoring hearts
Though cloying debris threatened
To block arterial sound clips
He performed still
Donning his top of the game shoes
Sometimes a shimmering glove
Covered one hand
While the other, sadly alone
And exposed, moved autonomously
To beats created by genius
In the midst of huge attention
He gyrated inside a microscopic globe.
His moves spread warmth and love
Over numerous arctic crevices in a needy world
And then a curtain
Held up by a slender thread
Who’s fall would end
This performance on cue
Fell …
And a deafening silence
Echoed around a saddened world.
I was never an MJ fan -- we cannot all like the same things in life -- his style of entertainment just never moved me -- I know that he had millions of fans around the world -- I am never the less saddened by his demise at such a young age -- the world is diminished with the loss of each and every person -- his was a tumultuous life lived under the continuous scrutiny of millions at every move -- it is my hope that his legacy will be one of educating the young generations of this earth on lifestyles that are potentially fatal to even icons -- this is a fine tribute from your heart Janice Beaty Springs -- thanks for sharing it -- so good to see your wonderful work in the den once again my friend -- Peace and love -- Jon Michael
While I'm glad that he finally found peace with God, yet I was heartbroken for his young children. They are just too young to be without any parents. His daughter's words broke my heart today at the memorial, I was crying my eyes out for Michael and his children.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
