Dream's Melted Wings

Wrote this poem in a matter of 2 minutes. It wrote itself. Though I don't particularly know why I wrote it, or why it wrote itself, I hope that it touches the person it's meant to touch.

Time may melt the wings from our dreams
like a bully with a magnifying glass.
Up in smoke, the Phoenix surely rises
because it knows this too shall pass.

From destruction, there is rebirth...
Old ends become brand new beginnings.
When life tries to even out the score,
that leads the game into extra innings.

Time may twist our woven memories
like a rag ready to meet the wringer.
It may whisper lies into our ears
until we believe that velvet whisper.

We continue to move forward in life
and stand the road we’re meant to stand.
Without wings, our dreams may not sail
but they are still alive to this vast land.

Time may melt the wings from our dreams
like a bully with a magnifying glass.
We can chose to avoid those hot flames
and we’ll have wings when pain is passed.

Think this one is meant to be a song, the words and verses flow like smooth lyrics awaiting a guitar rift.

Understanding this poem very well. Need to get my thoughts into perspective right now over moving to sr apt or staying here. Believe God wants me right here and to wait for him to give me wings too when the time is right. You have reached my heart with this one.
