This isn't where I thought I would be...
standing on stage without even a soliloquy.
The audience hisses while the orchestra disbands...
They choose to strike the set...it's just who I am...

I am a ghost that haunts the catwalks at night.
I am a memory of the worst and best of times.
The spotlight finds me and I choose to shy away.
This is my life...I live in this forgotten play.

Read your programs and mock my breaths.
Try to find my secrets...and those once regrets.
They'll be no more remembered than poison to the ear.
Never had I thought that I'd find myself standing here.

What have I to say?  This is a play without words.
This is life at it's best and at its most absurd.
Applaud me or boo me, I'm not your entertainment.
So, strike the set, leave it bare...leave not a single remnant.
