A poem on why poet's write
We play to an audience Who choose not to hear We write for the masses But do they adhere? Words likened to a sword Rendering us to think Seem to be the afterword Allowing humanity to sink Life, expected to ever please Lessons held but never learned So oft we hide from stormy seas Reality, most often spurned Existence, meant to be a test On texts taught so often Why then do we try to best What destiny dares not soften?

I had to cheer up a friend on facebook who has lots going for her. She said she was Sad, it is not like her to be that way, a very pretty and popular girl. Oh well, we each have our days of loneliness and troubles. Reading your poetry helps me throght this night.
