If Only I didn't speak

 

but kept quiet

 

I could hear his silent anguish

 

If only i didn't talk

 

but listened

 

I would have have felt his

 

emotional pain

 

If only i hadn't been stubborn

 

he would have called again

 

If only patience had been mine

 

And belief in my own being

 

I would have been

 

the one he is seeing

 

And if there is no one

 

but hurt at his door

 

I guess i played my part

 

in hurting him some more.
