Saying Thank You

Saying thank you to a Veteran hardly seems adequate, they were willing to give their life for me and our country. Today I stand and salute each and every one of you.

 

SAYING THANK YOU

Saying thank you to a vet

Hardly seems enough

You risked your life for me

Even though we’ve never met

 

I’m proud of this great country

And I’m thanking you today

I wouldn’t have this freedom

Or be thanking you this way.

 

You may have gone to battle

To fight a war for me

This great country stands

For peace and liberty.

 

Thank you men and women

For standing in my stead

I pray for peace and offer

God grant your every need

 

May peace and hope abound

For all you’ve done for me

All my brothers and my sisters

Thank you on our knee.
