And when he is around seems distant and cold

But instead of his presence all you get is his ghost
That’s when you feel empty with a hole in your heart
So alone, incomplete, ready to fall apart
And you wonder if maybe it’s best to forget
About the love that you’ve come to regret
But then you realize if you push love aside
Your life will become one that you’ll wish to hide
And your heart will forever be turned into stone
And you’ll always find yourself all alone
And that’s even worse than having your dear
And feeling like the person might as well not be here
There’s always ups and downs in life and in love
And whenever you’re falling you’ll too soar above
Could also be titled, Unrequited. Yes, love certainly has its ups and downs, and perhaps because we are all different can never be quite the same whether one is a couple or not.

Ah! Unrequited love is a hard thing to experience for sure. You give your all hoping the other feels the same way but feel alone when you're with him...............I have known this feeling. It's painful and will turn a heart to stone. You have touched the heart with this one. It's a keeper!
