Between Coffee and Cigarettes

She asked if I had spoken to him–

I told her I didn't know what to say,
which I found strange enough
considering I possess
three placements in Gemini
and astrologically speaking,
that would make for some interesting conversation,
not to mention my moon
is in Pisces
depicting I am quite attuned
if not overly sympathetic to others needs,
though I do need to pay close attention,
because fish being fish
there tends to be a natural ebb and flow,
which can be confusing,
and now that we are on the subject,
I should note my sun is in Cancer
and isn’t that a kicker
since the sun (according to most philosophies)
is male--
and Cancers are so absolutely female.
Thinking about that last statement
let me clarify, as I wouldn’t want to offend,
Cancers are known
for their maternal instincts.
So you see there is this duality
running through me
and seeing how my luck lies in Scorpio
it all makes perfect sense.
