No More Tears By Jim Stewart c2009 I cried a tear last night No one was there. This empty silence screamed at me Echoing off the walls. The reverberation of my fears Left me all alone. As doubt melted into the synapses of my brain Confusion rushed in. Why? Why? Why? I screamed As my questions went unanswered. Empty are my senses And numb are my feelings I cried a tear last night.

I loved this poem. The way you wrote it really gives readers the chance not only to "watch the scene" you've laid out but to also feel the emotions. Great poem.

My friend I have been in that very room, where the tear dies a death of lonesomeness and apathy. One of those rooms was on St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans at the height of Mardi Gras many years ago. I was not in a party mood. Just so you know, there are some out here who can relate.
