With fall’s cooling breath

I saw change come

in the color of leaves

the political climate

in our family dynamics.

It changed with a wedding.

Some say change is good

or change is part of life

or change is necessary.

But change is hard

yes, sometimes good

but never easy.

This is my year of change

I see it everywhere.

In my day to day

in my children

in my grandchildren.

I try to embrace it.

As Christmas approaches

my heart is lifted

with the promise of change.

Lights in the darkness

silver star on the tree

loved ones gathered ‘round.

I’m ready for change,

to accept its gift

welcome it with open arms.

How fortunate to live

to love, to witness change

ever present, not always easy.

Unpardon me but I relent it boldly;
For it is far ahead, if I can be sure of it,
And far it is, that my hallucination be valid,
And hallucination it is, as it should be,
And however, unlike itself, mysterious, unknown, and untested,
So it be foreseen in my tireless search.

Yes, it is a dual-ended sword, isnt it? But it can hold such promise. Like this alot.

Change is the one abstract constant we face, whether for better or worse....

Be always safe,

Nicely put, Donelle. Change, good or bad, is the one thing we can always count on.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
