No Longer Do I Dream

Wrote this one after a big breakup.

A time one was, that I did dream.

My foolish heart, unknowingly, swept

me away.  I became lost

within his eyes, the shadowy orbs

so full of secrets.  If ever I loved,

he was the one.  But dreams do crumble

under reality.  Hearts

are broken; pieces lie scattered about.

Thoughts come in fragments as each delicate

crystalline tear falls silently

into oblivion.  And soon no

tears are left, leaving anger

and contempt.  He is to blame

for all the pain, for all that's gone.

Words lie dead, nothing is left

to say, to weep for.  All is lost,

yet no more pain have I to hide,

and no longer do I dream.
