Remember the poem is not always about the author..lol.. I wrote this because I am at a cross roads in my life where I am doing 3 seperate things that have nothing to do with one another and I know I may have to choose... Physical therapy(health science degree), Author, and ALC tutor for kindergarden children! Argh! But it is life...and this is what makes it so exciting!
Could you see me as a teacher
Teaching the taught
Fighting the fight
for the children that fought?
Could you see me as a realtor
Selling the sold
Trading the new
for what was once old?
Could you see me as a writer
Writing the written
Chewing off more
than what was truly bitten?
Could you see me as a journeyer
Knowing the known
Reading on words
only of the soul?
Could you see me as a Doctor
Mending the mended
Peeling the sick away
from what was rended?
Could you see me as a stoner
Smoking the smoked
Longing for a joint
for just one more toke?
Could you see me as labeled
Labling the name
Crying and trying
for all of the same?
I can "see" you as all that you aspire to be, Eden. It feels "right" that you go for your goals. I think you've already achieved the most important one. Being you. I am honored to know you a little bit. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you in all that you seek,
