I like doing structured poetry once in awhile. This is a Rictameter we had to do for a group I belong to.
Autumn
Leaves beautiful
Red, orange, yellow, brown
Grace the trees like fall gowns
Everywhere you look you can see
Beautiful Foliage in the forest trees
Leaves dancing merrily above
As the wind sings its song
Season of color
Autumn
.
I'm reminded of Longfellow with, "Covered in moss and in garments, green. Stand like Druids of eld, with beards that rest on their bosoms."
Your line, "Grace the trees like fall gowns," is of that quality.

BTW, I'm definitely not fond of all these structured poetry concepts, especially the really short ones. It is as though, "a picture is worth 1000 words," is reversed. Trying to create a picture with five words is futile at best. All exercises in writing discipline. So glad that I'm undisciplined now that I left school behind. ;-)
