Upon cotton vapored air I drift,
Into a sky of gold,
Atop my crescent ship I sail,
As magic dreams unfold
Into the bright of summer's night
Off to the stars I sail
With gentle breezes whispering
Untold truths start to unveil
Upon slumber’s velvet dreams
On night times’ musings skimmed
The mind would weave by threaded lace
A tale’s delightful trim
Where anything is possible,
Where borders never set
Yet sadly, limits of the mind,
Will cause us to forget
What is left, in slumber's wake,
When morning takes our hand,
Was it a nightmare or a gift,
Who is to understand?
Can we revisit, yesterday,
Or future's hallowed ground,
Or do we spin, and tumble,
Where echoes have no sound?
Then from depths of rippled dreams
Through minds distorted take
We recall the painted images
That haunt us as we wake
Can we emerge from scripted dreams
And ever be the same
Or does our spirit now become
The master of the game?
