but soon a great stir caused you woe.
For in starry dream Merlin came to you
and you asked, "What would you have me do?"

"Reach deep inside and find the sort
of courage it takes and return to The Court."
With swift-drawn sword the gauntlet was run
after preparations made at rising sun.

Lo, even after these many years
you chose to return without any fears.
You met each challenge and firey test
with unsullied character and gave your best.

With knightly promise I make this vow,
to only one time on bended knee bow.
Now, safely come to this spirited fort.
