An open window looks out upon
The fields and grass of green
And trees, too, are found out there
As big as I have seen

And further past this open port
The beach stops at the sea
With slow, hypnotic waves of time
Calling you and me

Out the open window I gaze
Toward the people in my past
And each of them have different tales
That they have each amassed

Through the open window I peer
And see so many dreams
I wonder how each will unfold
Yet some never reached it seems

With the window open further still
I watch in slow review
And see things pass before me
Things both old and new

Each of us has a kind of window
You can open anytime
Just reach inside and gently raise
The window of your mind
