Feeling alone, hopeless, adrift at sea, But awash with the hope That you’ll sail back to me. At each port of call, looking for you, But upon each arrival I find I missed you by a day or two. Searching each harbor, nook and cay; An eye out for your ship That I’ll soon find, I pray. But I sail back home across a lonely sea, But still awash with the hope Of your returning to me.
