It's time to lighten up.

I looked into a mirror bright
To see what I could see
And found a grouchy, old man's face
Glaring back at me.

"But that would never do, I thought.
It's time to lighten up."
And so I tried to act real sweet
Like sugar in my cup.

And soon my wrinkles disappeared.
The mirror smiled at me.
And what had been a dreary look
Turned happy as can be.


Therefore, my friends, I've learned this truth,
"That mirrors are your friends,
And when you turn and smile at them,
Your sad spell often ends."
