Life

is a game

and it has been

since the beginning.

it’s not about money

or fame, but

it is truly

about winning.

Our world was created as a beautiful place

Eve was enticed with forbidden fruit to taste.

The only rule in the game of life was then broken

Since that time, mankind’s eyes needed to be wide open.

God said we were made from dust and to dust we shall return

Satan was told he’d eat dust and someday forever in hell would burn.

From that day forward the world has been like a living game of chess

Ten commandments were given to help man to not digress.

Sons of God presented themselves before the Lord now

And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?

He answered the Lord, pulling in his girth

From going to and fro on the earth,

and from walking up and down in it.

 The devil impudently would admit.

A wager was made upon the life of our ancestor Job

We are challenged just like him all across the globe.

The rain falls on the just and the unjust alike

Whenever we play this game called life.

Each of us makes our own choice

Whether or not to heed His voice.

The rules are the same

In this exciting game.

The path isn’t always clear

But God is forever near.

His book always has something to say

With words of wisdom to light the way.
