A poem about a woman who feels confident in who she is and how she looks. It was written by me after someone made a negative comment about my weight after giving birth to my son. I wrote this poem to empower myself and to heal from his hurtful words.

IN MY EYES In my eyes, I'm beautiful, lovely to behold spiritual, talented and oh so bold. In my eyes, I am passionate, wise, loving, unique, earthy, complex, the world beneath my feet. With skin, so silky smooth, soft and sweet, mahogany brown, that glistens in the sun's heat. Eyes as dark as night, that twinkle like stars therein, the spark of passion burning deep within. My lips, full and luscious, soft to the touch, so sweet that my kisses will knock you off your feet. My neck, stately and long, sensitive, inviting reveals the pulse of a heart that is so exciting. My breasts, full and round, it’s dark points are sure to please and bring you swiftly to your knees. My arms open to hold you, pulling you in, caressing every part of your skin. My belly, round and soft, it's carried life and given birth, smooth as the hills of rare earth. My hips, curvy and smooth, sway to the rhythm of a hypnotic beat, Watch me dance, feel my heat. My legs, thick, smooth and strong, Can dance around you all day and night long. My bottom, round as an apple and great to behold, Just the right size to grab, or spank if you are so bold. My sex, juicy and sweet, giving off the hottest of heat, waiting to be filled and pleasured, but do not mistreat. In my eyes, I am the Earth mother, Lover and Queen, My body, my castle, beautiful and pristine. As cool as a gentle breeze that blows on a hot summer's day, as you sit in the sand watching seagulls fly over the bay. As soothing as the gentle waves that roll along the shore, wetting you all over more and more. As hot as a roaring fire that warms you on a cold winter's night, that keeps you nice and cozy until the morning light. As firm as the earth beneath your feet, as you walk smoothly along my street. In my eyes, I sparkle, shimmer and shine, To treat me as anything less would be so unkind. I can be your greatest treasure, giving you such joy and great pleasure. I can be the mother of your child and oh so much more Your friend, confidant, the girl next door. Your Goddess to heal, refresh and renew There is so no limit to what I can do.
