To me, that's all that I was while standing there and then everything that mattered became more than clear as I began to think...All the ones who choose not to understand that day and what it meant to me, then suddenly their reasons just faded away. The venue was more than great. For, it was a place that brought forth the kind of growth I longed for over three years ago, now it's been, that was when change turned into nothing but despair. It was the Hospice House, the place I went when I needed a kind heart and an ear to listen to my grief and wisdom to share as to how to manage it all. As I stood there in the courtyard, I saw the faces in the windows, the family members came outside for a glimpse of hope. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of giving that cannot come easily with words. Maybe it was something I was able to give back sort of in return. Most of all, I had a Mother there that day. Not one from birth, but I couldn't have asked Him for more on that day and so many days before. She's been like a Mother to me throughout this entire process of change. Yet, this time, there is no despair, just Love and Gratitude for time taken and time spent. I was the girl in the courtyard that day as everything else just faded away and all I could think of was the lives a glimpse may change or offer hope to linger just another day. I couldn't help but thank God for all he's given and all I have received in the one I shall spend the rest of my days - one fine September day when we are joined as one!
