The subject you have chosen to write about is what made me read the poem. I appreciate the ideas you express, but the translation really needs some work. I am saying this as a translator and I hope you don't mind my comment. Keep on writing.

In spite of the idea that there is a grand design by some god or gods that predestines all that we do, I believe that, in the perfection of evolution, we gained intelligence they gave us an advantage over all other mammals merely surviving on instincts and adaptations that allowed the species to continue.

The prehistory and history of Homo sapiens contains the violent acts that are seen in troops of apes or monkeys, the most intelligent of mammals. Violent acts are also part of whales and dolphins as a natural way of each species surviving using power and dominance to control.

We have always had dominant leaders in families, cultures, and governments. These leaders usually took more than followers. But usually within the structure of the family or tribe, like a wolf pack, the weak and underperforming were cared for.

When you suggest that everyone take an equal share without making an equal contribution, you violate the natural order of things. As has been proven by communist states established, the inherent weakness of equality for all leaves a leadership gap that is quickly filled by despotic opportunists and the whole economy suffers from the weakness of misplaced priorities.

I agree with you that we should make sure that the weakest and least productive of us are cared for like in the pack. But, there are those that would use their power and dominance try to take more than they deserve. They like, in the pack, deserve to be banished.
