How I set it up for educating Imagination, my inner being.
I had devoted myself to crafting workshops – one workshop a week to accompany Gary’s subscription program Gary. This was our first run at it. When Gary told me he was offering the 70-some Neville lectures we had cleaned up and edited, I presented the idea of going through each workshop, testing concepts that stood out and working them into a new document. I had recalled what fun I had testing and writing about concepts Neville presented in his books and lectures. I had shared my adventures with the people on applying Neville, a yahoo group I had set up in 2003. I used a very simple format for the workshops. Keeping all the lectures intact, I injected my comments in italics between Neville’s paragraphs. In other words, I started with what Neville said and then I talked about a concept that stood out for me. I played with the concept – tried it on for size, tested to see what I could do with it.
One workshop based on the lecture “The Secret of Imagining” was the instrument I used to see how I moved my attention in consciousness. Earlier I had developed a process to measure my movement in consciousness, OptiScal. “The Secret of Imagining” offered opportunities to see the extent to which I associated the solution to any problem with supreme power, supreme wisdom and supreme delight. Using OptiScal (scale of one to 12) I assigned “one” to represent minimal expression of supreme power, supreme wisdom and supreme delight and “12” as optimal expression of these qualities. I wanted to see how well I could detect the consciousness and energy of events I observed. I had begun to think of events in terms of the consciousness they represented and the energy they expressed. By my major question I asked which of the events I observed required my imaginal activity of revision.
To prepare for the test, I contemplated supreme power moving through every thing I imagined for the event. I watched as supreme wisdom unfolded through things I imagined for the event. I experienced supreme delight with each solution I brought into my inner world. OptiScal showed the rating according to my persistence in contemplating these qualities. Where I had not persisted in this line of thinking, I made no significant impression on my sense of belief. In other words, nothing changed. I did not believe I had any power or wisdom in relation to the events I choose to observe. Without the power or wisdom came no solutions in which to delight, and my rating was below five (5). My rating was at 10 or higher when I used supreme power to play out solutions for the events imaginally, saw images of supreme wisdom being expressed in these events and expressed supreme delight when I saw the solutions on the stage of my mind.
Through the process, I had to ask what supreme wisdom and supreme delight looked like. I was already somewhat familiar with what supreme power was like. I had recalled several experiences with Imagination being larger than life and able to do far more things than I could even dare to think from the human perspective. I included stories of my experiences with Imagination in the workshops to show how great this power is. So upon asking to see the nature of supreme wisdom and supreme delight in a particular event, I became quiet enough to see images of these concepts playing out in my mind. I found when I had not applied the question to specific events, concepts such as these appeared as fuzzy images. In other words, it was as though a specific wisdom was assigned to a specific event and a specific delight was assigned to a specific solution. Over the period of my education as Imagination, I found that “supreme” meant elevated or higher states of consciousness. To my benefit, I had already bought into the Hawkins map of consciousness and already distinguished the vibrations, but adapting these as gradations of light – wattage.
