Taking reference from Neville and Hawkins, the writer shows how to make imagination normal and natural
How important is imagination in your experience and your everyday living? When you think imagination what do you think? What is your reaction to imagination? IOW, what meaning have you given imagination in your life? From your perspective is imagination something you use or is it who you are? Neville says something here that helped me shape and form imagination as a constant factor in my life. View the following quote to see where you take it. But until imagination becomes a part of your normal, natural currency of thought, you will not act consciously. Like breathing, this awareness must become so much a part of you that you will not turn to the left or right to praise or blame anyone. (Lecture #72 – IMAGINATION FULFILLS ITS SELF – 10/26/1968, Neville) To make imagination my constant conscious activity requires persistent attention. The first thing I had to do was to face the programming that allowed me to hold on to concepts that produced the situations I considered unlovely. I like the idea Neville emphasized – to leave no one in an unlovely state. And I count myself in the bunch – don’t leave myself in an unlovely state. I identified myself as Imagination making it easier to let imagination be my normal, conscious way of being. I had to give being Imagination my conscious attention. This meant reminding myself at every opportunity that I am Imagination radiating light. Letting imagination be my normal, conscious way of being was transforming. Change I noticed in myself foremost was the decreasing tendency to complain. It became clear to me that when I complained I was holding certain concepts in place. However, when I identified myself as Imagination, I looked at things and situations I normally complained about as among infinite possibilities. Thinking from the perspective of infinite possibilities, I knew other possibilities were available to me. No longer did I have to hold on to the concept that concerned me; I was free to choose other concepts, arrange them according to my preference and give expression to them. Being aware of myself as Imagination I constantly consider other possibilities for any thing. It might be personal or impersonal. A personal matter, I noticed a seemingly reoccurring pain. Now I am not into taking pain relievers and because I believe all things are possible in consciousness, I looked into consciousness where Imagination operates to resolve the pain. Recall I identify myself as Imagination radiating light. I had long bought into the idea that I am a being of light. And I make use of a light scale derived from reports of Hawkins' research. I took into account that I am Imagination radiating light whether conscious of it or not and when I have the experience of pain I am Imagination radiating the energy and light of pain. Yes, pain radiates light – using watts, at 30 watts. Pain is a concept radiating 30 watts of light. Testing out my capacities as Imagination I consciously chose to radiate light at a much brighter wattage. Because Imagination can do all things, I knew I could enter anything, including any part of my body. So as Imagination I entered the area of my body where I was experiencing pain and radiated light at 1000 watts. Then I acknowledged, saying, “I am Imagination radiating light at 1000 watts”. In just a few seconds – about 17 to 21 – I noticed I was free from pain. In less than half a minute I offset the impact of almost three months of programming to pain. It did not take long to realize the work before me: I had to counterbalance programming I had bought into for several years. Holding on to the concept of pain I had let it rule my life. My task now was to persist in radiating light in the higher vibrations. So I did. As Imagination I entered areas that got my attention, one area and then another, radiating light at 1000 watts until I had reprogrammed my mind to experience the joy of a healthy body.
