Some may think that the Rapture is not real. Why take a chance? Meet a man on a plane....taking his last trip.
VANISHED…
This trip would surely be like all the others. I was an inspector for the main computer terminals for our company. It had branches in several main cities. This particular trip was to Chicago. I had been there several times. There would be nothing new to see or do. Another boring flight and the same routine when I’d get there.
After s short hassle of getting through the lines at the airport and getting on board, I set restful in my seat planning my stay in Chicago. I decided when I was finished at the company I would find something to do.
After a matter of minutes we were in the air and on the way to Chicago After removing the seat belt, I reclined the chair a little and leaned back. I had a window seat. Sitting next to me was a man. He was very well dressed and manner able. I remember how he had addressed the flight attendant. Across from us was another isle of seats in the middle and another on the other side. The first class section where I sat was full. No seats were empty.
Before I settled into a light sleep, I remembered the flight attendant asking me if I wanted anything. The man next to me began to read a black leather bound bible that he carried with him. There were several children and an infant in my section. I remember hearing the children and seeing the infant as I took my seat.
Finally I slept. And I dreamt of a little church that I went to when I was a child. My mother had gone there and my grand-parents. I was raised in that church. I dreamt of my last visit there. It was a year ago. I had gone on Mother’s day to please my mother. It had been a long time since I had been there. There was a new preacher. He was a young man, maybe a few years older than I was. I was surprised because he was young and truly saved and preaching the word of God. I realized I was a little envious of him. I knew I could have been that young man. I should have been, but I chose a different path.
That particular Sunday he began to preach on the Rapture. I was uneasy on my seat. I wanted to run out the door and run to the altar at the same time. I did neither. I was raised by the word of God and knew it was true . One day Jesus would come back for his people. I assured myself that Sunday, that I had time. When I got a little older perhaps. I had a few things I hadn’t done that I wanted to do, I convinced myself. I remember when the sermon was over how I quickly left the church. I was relieved to be outside. Yet, unnerved thing I had missed my chance to be saved for the last time.
I was woke from my dream by a thrill and frightening scream. When I open my eyes, several people were standing up looking around in shock. One woman was actually screaming for her child. A man was calling out for his wife. The man sitting next to me was gone. His bible left lying on the seat next to me. Behind me the woman who held the infant, just began to scream. No one could stop her. More than twenty people were missing form our section and the all the children were gone also.
I knew what had happened. My body began to shake uncontrollable, as I sat there and look from one person to another. The majority of them didn’t know what had happen, but I did. The Lord Jesus had come and taken his people away. My mother was gone. And the preacher that preached his coming was gone.
At that moment the plane just started to veer downward. The people that were standing fell down. Others fell out of their seats. I was thrown forward and hit the seat in from of me. I felt faint, yet I tried to hold on. The plane seemed to plunge faster and faster downward. All I could hear were screams. And then over all the screaming I heard a man’s voice as he yelled “The pilot and co-pilot had vanished. We have no pilot. We are doomed.”
The screams became louder and the people became as crazed men, scrawling upon top of each other trying to get to the cockpit doors.
Others were praying as I was. But I knew my praying was in vain. The plane was going to crash and I would die and my soul would burn in hell forever, eternity. I began to cry then as that thought but more so because I had a chance to get right a year ago. I had chose to turn my back on God.
Someone was creaming what I felt.
“No Lord! No Lord! “I’m not ready! I’m not ready!..............
People don’t be caught making plans to be saved. God could come at any time: Be Ready!.............
