An Anthology of young poets from Riverwood High School in Atlanta, GA. The poets were members of the Outspoken Poetry club, sponsored by Yvette Appiah.
In this book you will see the promise of a young William Butler Yeats in Dean Shaban, or a Sonia Sanchez in Yejide Olutosin, Zack Feldberg will jump off the page and entertain you while Lauryn Brown is a quiet storm. You will see the influence of great writers in the works of these students and you will also here their own powerful voices emerging. The subsequent renaissance of great poetry starts here at Riverwood High School in this anthology. I encourage you to believe it, and as you read and enjoy the original works of the following young poets, cheer them on.

A Comic Book
Poet is a comic book for young readers. It introduces poetry to children that are exposed to Hip Hop but may not recognize its relationship to poetry. Poet also tackles some issues that youth often deal with in school. |
