A beautiful day is a day
Of dandelions and herbs
Beautiful brothas, rhyme and reason
Blue skies and birds
It's full of children
Bursting with laughter
Sistahs following after
Spreading conscious word.
A beautiful day is down hill
Walking, talking making deals
Hook up with the elders to
Stop and learn what's real.
It's full of prayer, black men
And beaches, sitting on a sunny hill
Laying back, eating peaches,
It's sweat and grips and funk
Tongues, bodies and grinds.
A beautiful day is over the ocean
In your beach home sipping wine,
It begins with prayer, or some
Say meditation, a beautiful day is full
Of contemplation.
And just in case your mind gets to swaying, on a beautiful day you come again with prayer, it's the sayer of a beautiful day.
It's hay for the farms,
For the hood, it's rendering arms
And even for the haters it's
Reaking havoc on the players.
A beautiful day is of justice
Peace and plenty to eat,
It's a feast for the withered and weak
Its outstanding for the meek
A beautiful day is a day
Where mothers, fathers, children play
It's elders and their wisdom,
So listen as they say.
It's rain for the herb fields
For victims, it's baring shields
