What is time?

TIME

We have spent many years here on earth and during this period everything revolves around TIME. When we were born, it was at a specific time. Children have no concept of time, which is no fault of their own. As our younger years progressed, it was time to go to school. Time seemed to pass by slowly during this era.

Once upon a time we were gathered to graduate from twelve years of academic achievement. “It’s about time,” we thought. What good times we had. At that time we didn’t comprehend what would happen over time. Oh, have times changed. Back then Saturn was a planet far away in space. Now, we drive them to distance destinations in a short time. A microwave was what a surfer tried to ride at Cape Cod. Laptops, PC’s, space travel and shuttles, organ transplants were Jules Verne sci-fi dreams. Time has changed the definitions and understanding of words.

We were busy and in a rush to get to places on time. We thought we had to because time might run out. We separated from family and friends to go our separate ways. For some, times were rough but over time life seemed to settle in. Careers and families were established and we didn’t spend enough time with our love ones. Some of us moved to different parts of the country and world, which took more travel time to go visit friends and relatives. It was nice to know that at some point we decided, “I’ve got to make time to visit.”

Time seemed to be running faster as we aged. Where did the time go? Many years have elapsed and we traveled through time. We all look for ways to save time, but in reality that is for only moments between points in travel. Thinking about it, what a wonderful invention it would be if we really could save time.

As the years pass we’ve discovered we’re running out of time. We must take more time to enjoy what we have left. Back in time it was insignificant part of our lives. Now, it’s one of our most important assets.

As we look around, we see that some friends and love ones are not with us anymore. Their time ran out. We wish we had spent more time with them. But there never seemed to be enough time.

Now we must appreciate what time we have left. We can now look back at all the good and bad times in our lives. Soon it will be time for us to go. Where has the time gone? A long time ago we had all the time in the world. But now we’ve discovered that there is never enough time and we must take advantage of what we have left.

So, at this precious moment, I say thank you for allowing me to share some of your precious TIME.

Excellent. I wish I had the time to write a lengthy comment on this, but life is just too short. LOL
