Book Review that I wrote in 2005 "How To Gain The Professional Edge - 2nd Edition by Susan Morem.

If you allow yourself to get stuck in a rut or refuse to change your ways, you will limit your opportunities. If you embrace technology and keep up with the times, you will remain competitive and your experience and maturity will be an added advantage. Renee Ward, prinicpal of the Forward Group which publishes Seniors4hire has found increasing numbers of businesses recognizing the value of hiring and retaining older workers. Companies will always need people that can help them. Stay in business, grow and the experience and maturity that comes with age can be an asset. You can be happy and successful at any age. When you improve your attitude, you will improve the way you feel about yourself and others. As a result, others will change the way they feel about you. The above was shared from a Review of How To Gain The Professional Edge - 2nd Edition by Susan Morem.

Excellent ideas in this article. Too often people tell themselves (or accept defeatism from others) they can not accomplish certain things ... it then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Some of the oldest people I know --- are young in mind, spirit, and heart.
