As my husband and I were watching the news this evening we were shocked to see a friend being interviewed. This was my husband's childhood friend. His wife had murdered their 6 year old son in their NJ home earlier this morning. The wife also tried to kill herself. We got together several times a year with many friends including this family for many holidays. I remember this little boy full of life and energy playing with my daughter and all the other children year after year. We will never forget this horrible, devastating story or little Jarod, who will live in our hearts forever.
Like Morning Star I want to express my sympathies at this tragedy, for some reason just as Christmas brings out so many wonderful miracles it also seems to bring forth some sadness as well. We cannot though begin to understand the troubled minds that do these terrible things or we will sink too far to give joy and support to others who need us maybe just as badly. All we can do is keep reaching out.
