Some Suggestions From An Experienced Pro.....

12 Things To Do When Your Heart Is Broken

By La Belle Rouge

Hold it inside, no one wants to see you cry

Stay busy doing useful or even futile things

Try to fill up others’ cups from your empty pitcher

Talk to your poodle, love her she'll never reject you

Plant some roses, unlike relationships they will bloom

Think of how much worse things “Could” be

Start that novel you know you should write

Make a trip to the cemetery; remember life’s brevity

Clean out your dresser, closets and your mind

Throw away those items that make you feel sad

Cut or buy some fresh flowers and place them in sight

Take a drink, take a pill, write a poem

Sounds great. What about forgiving yourself if you have any guilt feelings as regards whatever it was that broke you heart?

and sweeping, lots of sweeping -fortunately living on the beach means i could sweep twice daily if necessary! oh Belle -this made me smile like this: :( all good advice, fee said it already...unfortunately, with my travelling ways, i can have no poodle, but i do nest with a family of doves - and Meral, chuffed parent of a fluffy yellow baby, has just coo-ed :D - she may have said nature is better than pills, but i really can't be sure -either that or she was telling me again that i need to smoke less! Your 12 things to do list is great, as is your poetry - now i really must get on...things to attend to etc :)) Have a wonderful day Belle Poetess :o)Nicky xx

All good tips Belle but if I may I'd like to add one of my own:

Allow yourself time to heal, for the death of love, if it was real, needs to be mourned the same as we mourn for physical death.
