One of my colleagues, who is a father, firefighter, soldier and now a disabled civilian, wrote to me the following words, which I quote:

“I don't believe that the voters of the U.S.A. as a whole are Stupid enough to vote for Obama as our next commander in chief. What a sad mistake that would be. “

I responded: The media is stuck on one point, if Obama is a Muslim or not. I don’t see the relevance of it.  If that is the important point, it does not matter; they just have to conclude that Obama is a Muslim. Based on the fact that his father is Muslim, Obama is automatically a Muslim, may he like it or not.  Obama cannot deny it. The Muslim law says that a person born a Muslim will always remain a Muslim.

In my view, the major point remains, that Obama has no experience to lead such a giant country.  Furthermore I don’t believe that the voters are choosing Obama for who he is, but rather because their hatred for Bush.
 
If the media is hiding information about Obama’s relations and giving him unfair advantage for now, it this not in order to be able to gain advantages at a later date, if he will be president?  All of them believe to succeed in their plan, forgetting that the result will eventually be the opposite of what they are expecting.

If Obama wins, the result this time would be that the media had unveiled their real intent to help him.  This would be a precedence case, showing to the world that the American Media is biased and cannot be trusted. Our democracy would be tainted.

Is this the kind of democracy that we want to teach the world?  The entire world is watching.  We have to be careful not to damage our image.  Despite all what the democrats are saying, that the Bush administration has damaged our reputation in the world, maybe they mean our reputation among the European Left and those who hate us anyway.  I guess, the future will tell.
