Many people in music; the movies; architecture; people in politics; atheletes; educators; business people, many times, leave a part of themselves behind...so they are remembered when they hang up their sneakers, etc. Wouldn't it be great to be remembered for something other than an attitude and a pile of debt?

I've been in the humor business for over 40 years, and I never get tired of putting a smile on someone's face! After I built my website, I have gotten hundreds of emails from all over the world, and the following is an email I received from a fellow named Wayne, who I don't know. He writes:
"Greetings Jerry...I wish to thank you for brightening my day a bit. Your website was just what I needed in this time in my life. You see...my mother passed away on July 2nd, and I'm trying hard to get back into the swing of things. Being the 4th of July week-end, we all had gathered at her place for a big bang and celebration. Thanks for the laughs I had today...Wayne."
I think the reader can see why I've been in the humor business for most of my life, etc.

As a woodcarver for over 30 years, I'm out of the art and craft world, and I have no background in writing whatsoever. In college, I did not major in English; journalism or communications. (I majored in girls) To show my ignorance online, I knew nothing about article directories, until August, 2006, when I posting my articles on EzineArticles.com. So, I'm a newbie in the world of writing.
There are many boomers out there, who are turning the corner at 60 years of age, and I'm one of them. Never in my lifetime, could I have imagined, that I would have the opportunity to express my ideas; show my writing pieces to the world on something called the "Internet." Amazing! And, never in my lifetime, could I have ever imagined, that I could see some of my articles published on other websites on the Internet! What a great feeling!
Legacy...a gift of writing...can be left on the Internet for all to enjoy!

Just think...I can leave my writings all over the world on the Internet...until the end of time! I can leave my humor pieces, too! (what humor, Jer?) I can see it all happening to me now! I will become one of the greatest writers the world has ever known! Parades are held, in my honor, all over the country!
The networks cover this incredible story of rags to riches! Talk shows want me on their shows! Movie producers wait in line! Heads of state all over the world, want to meet with me! The President of the United States...calls...but I'm too busy right now, and let him wait! Millionaires and billionaires wait in line to meet me... I've become famous over-night; book deals are in the works; movie deals, too...and sure enough, I got my 15 minutes of fame...shout it from the roof-tops...A STAR IS BORN!
Excuse me...excuse me...why do I hear laughter here? I didn't write this piece to be amusing, you know! Excuse me...so why are we laughing...
