For those of you around the world, who may not be familiar with this term, 'my two-cents.' which is an idiom...not to be confused with the word, 'idiot' and we all know there are many of these in the U.S. Congress!   There are certain phrases that are used frequently in the United States, such as 'nest egg'; chip on the shoulder; a piece of cake' to describe something.  'My two-cents is no different...and is used be many people to state an opinion on a certain subject.  That's what this piece is...my opinion about the workings or mostly non-workings of government in Washington D.C...and especially the worthless U.S. Congress! 

At the age of 66 in 2011, I've been on this planet all these years, and I've never seen a spectacle or circus or romper room...as we're all seen in the Congress and the White House over the summer of 2011!  A dysfunctional government for sure!  Some of you may have watched this disgrace on C-SPAM..that's what this is...SPAM...

The approval rating of the U.S. Congress by the American people is paltry...at best...and getting lower by the week!  My disdain for the politicians and the Congress has been evident over the last few years, as I've written other articles, critical of the people in the Congress.

Of all the articles I've written on the worthless Congress...the following is probably the most important, because it will be up to the American people to take back their government...

Protesting:
America's In 2011 Are Candy-Asses!

I blame the American citizens for 20% of this mess, because Americans have been asleep at the wheel for over thirty years!  In 2011, when it comes to protesting, Americans are candy-asses; wimps and sissies...they don't know how to protest like the Americans of the 1960's/70's, who fought their own government for over a decade and took back their government.   Simply stated, if Americans don't come out of their coma...and yawn all this away...the Congress will lead them into a train-wreck for sure...WAKE UP AMERICA! 

How did the United States get into this mess in the first place?  I don't think there is anyone in America or in the Congress, who understands the meaning of being 14 trillion dollars in debt...it's uncomprehendable!  At the age of 66, I might get through all this with Social Secuity/Medicare and all that...but young people today, must prepare for the worst.  Congress will keep raising the age...and before long, there will be nobody getting Social Security.  Young people will have to work until they drop...with no retirement...a pretty scary thought...but it could happen, unless the Congress gets its house in order. 

I'll ask the question again.  How did the United States get into this mess in the first place?

Earmarks a.k.a Greed; The Congress Candy Store and Cookie Jar:  People in the Congress, both Republicans and Democrats have been stealing money from the taxpayer's for years in the name of earmarks.  This is taxpayer money that is in the cookie jar, whereby, there is no Congressional approval necessary...just take it and use it in your home state.  Robert Byrd of West Virginia, was one of the worst offenders of earmarks.  He funneled hundreds of millions of dollars in projects to his state...so many, in fact, that he had over 50 structures named after him...such as courthouses; airports; highways; libraries, etc.  This is one big reason why the United States is in trouble with its debt and financial obligations.  Too many people in the Congress, helping themselves to the cookie jar which is helping to bankrupt the country! 

Liberals/liberalism: Spend; spend; spend...it makes the official popular back home, and he or she can re-elected...but it's tough to say NO!  It's not 'drill, baby, drill,' it's PORK; PORK; PORK...I've never voted for a liberal, because they'll backrupt the country...in the interests for themselves! 

NASA:  The Congress finally did something right in getting rid of NASA.  This greedy agency in the government, wasted billions of dollars of taxpayer's money in outer space.  I don't think American's care if there's water on Mars or the Moon...I know I don't care.  Americans have more important things to spend their money on...such as Social Security; Medicare; Medicaid, etc.  Something for everyone.    American's have known for over 40 years that human beings cannot survive in the harsh environment of outer space.  NASA has always been for the few...on the gravy-train...and finally the party's over!  For the America's to hitch a ride into outer space with the Russians...unthinkable and is an insult! 

Where are the Russians today?  Russia is nothing more than a drunk tank today, because their economy collapsed...just like our is going to us if we don't get our house in order!

Foreign Aid:  Has to come to a stop!  We can't baby-sit the world any longer!  We can't buy friends any longer.  We spend billions of dollars on these nickel/dime dictators around the world, and this is bankrupting the country.  Much of the money we give them never reaches the people who are in need...if these people want a democracy like the United States...they're going to have to fight for it...just like we did! 

Subsidies:  The American government subsidizes many parts of the economy...from ranchers, farmers, public television; small airlines; dairy industry; housing and the list goes on.  All this will have to come to a stop, if the government is going to even get close to balancing the budget.

Senators and Representatives a.k.a. Greedsters and Pirates; Nobody in the Congress is worth what they make.  Ask anyone in Congress, if they'll give up part of their (over-paid) salary to help bring down the deficeit, and see what you get.  Okay...so the American people are getting gouged by the Greedster Party and the Pirate Party...so what...

There was a story the other day on the news, whereby a reporter did a story on a small airline that was subsidized by the government.  The reporter got on the plane someplace, and there was only four passengers on the plane when it took off.  After getting to its destination, the little plane took off for another stop at the next city...this time the airplane flew empty...only the reporter was on board.  All this is done by the government to creat jobs...but all this will come to an end if the government is going to balance its books. 

China: With 3-5 billions people in China, you have to wonder how the Chinese do it.  You rarely hear apeep out of that government, whether it's jobs or corruption.  How can a society that big do it?  Maybe the Americal people and especially the Congress can learn something from the Chinese people.

Now, I'm not advocating that we turn our democracy into a Communist form of government.  But, I'm suggesting that the two-party system MAY be the problem in the United States...people screaming at each other and never getting things done...or if it's done...it takes forever bacause of the arguing and wrangling over a topic.  Gridlock is the name of the game in the U.S. Congress...and the American people suffer for it. 

The only way we're going do get past this debt problem, in my view, is only one word; bi-partisan... and find common ground...there has to be a way to get everyone together to work on the problems the United States faces and the American face, and resolve our differences...without gridlock and self-serving!  We've all got 18 months to do this...until the next debt-ceiling vote...

Put on your steel-toe boots and give all these worthless politicians a kick in the ass...nobody will be left standing...kick out all the Republicans; the Democrats; and the 'Pee' Party...sorry...the Tea Party, too...they're just as worthless as the rest of them.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the issue here...the U.S. Congress is part of the PROBLEM...and NOT part of the solution! 

In a recent public approval poll of the U.S. Congress on August 4, 2011 was: 14% approval rating of the Congress which is about as dismal as it gets!  It's time to throw the 'bums' out! 

I suggest Americans take to the streets; phone calls; emails; letters; with NO violence or property damage.  I know that all Americans feel frustrated, because they are caught between a rock and a hard place.  They, in fact, have kicked out all the cockroaches out of Congress in the past...only to be replaced by other cockroaches! 

Now, that the U.S. credit rating has been lowered from AAA to AA by Standard & Poors...it is even more important for the country and the Congress to get its house in order.

The U.S. Congress is to blame here as well...with all the gridlock and partisan politics.  Anyone can see why the Congress is so worthless! 

I understand their frustration!

In the meantime, I think the American citizens should exercise their right...and THROW THE 'BUMS' OUT OF CONGRESS...take back their government...and start all over again...THE CLOCK IS TICKING...10...9...8...MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD...7...6...5...
