Born in 1945, and at the age of 66 in 2011, I've never seen anything like this!  I'm just glad I'm out of the work place and retired...I wouldn't want to be out there looking for a job, etc.  During my work days, I got laid off SIX times...so, I know what hard times is all about...I've been there...I've done that! 

In a few other articles I've written on the economy and the political affairs in this country, I've been pretty critical of the American people...and well desevered.  Because I lived through the rebellion of the '60's and 70's, I've seen American's take back their government and win when all the dust settled, etc. 

It took a long time...over a decade...to win back the government, and many were injured and killed during this rebellion, etc.  So, if there is anyone out there reading this...it's going to take a long time for change in this country to happen for the better of all.  Heck...the Watergate disgrace took more than two years...until that worthless Nixon resigned.  When people have power...they don't give it up easily.  In 2011,,,an example is Libya...Ka-Daffy is still on the loose...he'd rather give up his life than give up power!

The American people will never change things, until they get the power to do so...and sometimes it takes taking to the streets and raising hell all over the country...just like Americans did in the 60's...which all took over a decade!  I can assure the reader that it is not going to be easy...and it will take a long time, so dig in for long haul, etc. 

Simply stated...GREED is killing this country!  I've never seen anything like this, in all my years on this planet!  The 'ME' generation has arrived!  Actually the ME generation arrived sometime back in the 1980's.  I remember at being astonished, at the ticket prices for a Michael Jackson...was $30.00!  In 2011, that won't get you a slap in the face...but back in the '80's that kind of price for a concert was unheard of!   People in music continued to shoot themselves in the foot, because of outragious prices for tickets. 

This time frame was the beginning of the Age of Greed...when the woman of the house...who usually took care of the kids...had to go out and help the husband earn money to make ends meet.  That tread has remained today, because of all the greed in this society.  Every wonder why there is still so many divorces in this country...kids come home to an empty household...the latchkey kids!  Both parents have to work, to pay for a greedy mortgage; greedy prices at the grocery story; and greedy prices for clothing, etc. 

Currently, at the age of 66...I might get through all this...but those readers under 60 years of age...I think you're going to have a tough time...it's going to get uglier...not prettier...and that goes for everyone!  Heck...the younger generation may not even get Social Security...the Congress will raise the age to 75 or 80...and many people don't even live to the age of 70!  Who's going to hire a 70 year old...to YAWN?  Baby sit?  Count clouds?  I wouldn't want to be in the younger generation! 

You don't have to be a rocket scientist, to see that the 'Great Society' is over!   Do you really think there is anything called the 'Golden Years' anymore?  I think you'd better wake up and smell the coffee...or the Geritol...

Get this...my father-in-law lived to be 105 years old...he milked Social Security for over 40 years!  Today, and in the near future, Social Security will remain solvent...but in the future many people will never see it.  I consider myself a realist...not a dreamer! 

About a month ago (9-11), during that awful debt-crisis in the Congress, I didn't know if the Social Secutiry check would be deposited in my account.  Luckily, it was.  But, today...young people and old people have many things to worry about.  If the young people don't work...us old people will not get the Social Security check.  Along with Social Security, I get a small pension check...but that could disappear...legally!  How?  CPA's know the tax code, and they can wipe the pension off the books with one signature...and do it leagally.  Now, it becomes a moral question.  What happens if your pension is gone at age 72?  There's only so many people that can stand at the door at WalMart, you know! 

Over the years, I've been pretty critical of the American people...because they've been asleep at the wheel; suffering from couch potato-itis; and in a coma for the last 40 years!  So, much so that I wrote a piece entitled,

I am proud to be associated with a generation of American's (1960's), who knew how to fight and protest and win back their government.  In a democracy...the people rule!  This is not Libya!  I'm happy to see that a few Americans art starting to show a llittle life, with the protests in New York and spreading across the country, etc.  This is the only way, that the American people are going to have a future...is to get that worthless Congress to do something, and cut out all the vacations, etc. 

I'm proud once again, to see American's out there protesting for what is theirs and for what is right...keep it up...it's going to take a long time to fix.  I worry every month, to think that when I look for a deposit from Social Secuity...and it won't be there! 

Pretty scary...young and old people have a lot to worry about in the future...

That's what this protest is about...GREED...the GREEDY corporations led by Wall Street vs.  Main Street America.  It used to be that companies wanted to make millions of dollars every year...now...they want to make billions of dollars every QUARTER...for themselves and their stockholders...that's GREED! 

Capitalism has nothing to do with greed...capitalism is a fair investment...for a fair return, etc.  The greedsters in this country are ruining this economy for everyone else....and the greedsters know who they are...
