Quite frankly, I always have had respect for the POLICE; and everyone designated as an authority figure. Catholic School and my father got that into my head at a very young age and my mother supported his efforts..
The disrespect directed toward Any and All the Police Officers is appalling and totally unacceptable and wrong on every level.
How dare the criminals challenge the law? How dare the people march against the law? How dare the Government chastise the officers whose duty is to uphold the law?
How can anyone feel safe? We NEED the police. We should not defend anyone who tests the law and its authority. .
Each and every crime has its own specific variables. Police Officers are trained and trusted to handle dangerous, life and death situations,etc.
Police Protection::. Our safety net -- The police -- our only source who has the power and authority to control the criminals are now being called to task.
Doesn't anyone feel that -- in order to handle the out of control, disobedient, aggressive and ARMED criminal, the amount of force used was necessary?.
Was this unfortunate criminal a victim because the parents DID NOT teach their child to REPECT THE LAW -- UNDERSTAND THE LAW - THE POLICE - THE TEACHER - THE ELDERS - THE MINISTER the authority IS IN CHARGE !!!

When traveling with persons of color, including our university president who served twice as an ambassador for the United States in foreign countries, I have been targeted and pulled over by police for associating with black people… Is that just? Fortunately, when those police discovered their mistake, we were not ticketed… But many are.
In my northern (all white, straight and narrow, American) small town, a childhood neighbor who was a member of the police force investigating squad, uncovered a ring of officers, including the chief, over half of the force, who routinely burglarized Main Street businesses over several years.
In my association with campus police in our university, I found that there is always an element of criminal that enters the police force and benefits from the advantages of wearing a badge. Just like people riot when they're angry, some police do very bad things. When they get angry. They often gang up and beat up on people they should just be arresting.
