Anton Chekov M.D. 29 January 1860[2] – 15 July 1904)[3] was a Russian playwright and short story writer, who is considered to be among the greatest writers of short fiction in history.

From the few stories that I read of Chekhov's, I would agree that he was one of the best. And now I know why. Got to make my short stories shorter and less verbose.
