Matter flows, ponderously miniscule,
Formed, deformed, textured perpetuities,
Smoothed, angled, each atom and molecule,
Streams discontinuous congruities.

Kaleidoscopic mix spills on humanity,
An inundation of boundless motivations.
Of evolutionary wealth, benefactee,
Of self-help and antecedent innovations.

Images and pattern recognition powers
Are key to deepest universal mysteries.
Twins, interpolation, extrapolation, ours,
Look inside, outside, immaculate masteries.

Man’s able to unframe experience,
Fly over boundaries of obvious,
Yet temper conclusions with sapience,
Wisdom from fact, not the factitious.

Golden memory perpetuation,
Precise logical entity arrangement,
Reason-powered order valuation,
Integrates model of terrene engagement.

Imagination rides with confidence,
Gradation spectrum climbs intuitive height,
Finds stepping stones of cogent evidence,
Builds staged platforms with intellectual might.

Would man, so adorned of marvelous tools,
Accept imposition of answer “supernal?”
Exhortations from atavistic schools,
Ascribing pat answer “divine sempiternal?”

Man possesses non-pareil cognitive cause,
Greets wondrous world, fittest being on earth,
Conscious, he cannot scoff at natural laws,
Assert “supernatural,” in effort dearth,

Meets mystery with resources at hand,
Gauges arrayed possibility resonances,
On broad antecedent shoulders stand,
To express insight — attempt more advances.

And if mystery’s tentacles knot so Gordian,
Just will not yield to the best endeavor,
It means only that “unknown” is its guardian,
