Promises Kept
my love for Silke will never die
Life is springing up in hope after falling back in grief
Faith rises as the phoenix from the ashes of belief
Belief is existential but faith is transcendental
And with these wings which have been fashioned from the fire of pain
Your spirit opens toward the light by which you rise again
Manifest eternally enduring elemental
That which you were and are and will be cannot be destroyed
Life blooms a miracle a gift which is to be enjoyed
And dared with someone cared for I would mine be shared with you
It matters not what we have done but only what we do
Within this shining moment to be present in the now
For this is all we have and all there is or ever was
I reach to you and I know you reach back to me because
By faith the promises of love are always kept somehow
