The Sky Itself
Now I see the sky a silken ceiling Of delicate decadent drapery This morning a soft sensuous feeling Comes through my eyes goes to the heart of me Challenging me to hold my head up high But doing it coyly caressingly
I never want to miss another sky Like this one I would kiss one every day
How wasteful to look down and throw away Such indescribable treasures to be Given away daily offered for free!
From this morning forward I vow that I Will shed the blindness which has blinded me And no longer fail to notice the sky
