"I choose to believe things will turn out right / For wanderers like me in need of grace"
The Wise Live by Surprise
I walk beneath the waxing crescent moon Alone but embraced by the waning night Between the second and the third of June Somewhere between the darkness and the light Around half past night and quarter to day It seems like the sun might refuse to rise Who knows? It might have always been this way What if night is only day in disguise? I get so tired I can no longer tell If these skies are playing tricks on my eyes
Yet here and now is heaven more than hell Because I am held in such soft embrace I choose to believe things will turn out right For wanderers like me in need of grace And so I walk by faith and not by sight Step by step because there is no hurry I take my time because this is no race And you walk in circles when you worry In any case out here beneath these skies By night or day the wise live by surprise
I feel a kindred spirit with the night. I can relate to what you express here, Stevie. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,
Regis

"As a man thinks; so IS he" We are what we think - for our thoughts control our actions... or so I believe. If we by into hysteria, fear, and hate then we become hysterical, fearful and hateful but when we believe in Love, peace and harmony we become those ingredients as well. Loving, peaceful, harmonic beings that carry those gifts of thoughts into the world around us who is actually dieing from hysteria, fear and hate. I'm very glad to see others who follow after Love. Good to you sir... Grace and Mercy follow you always.
Lol! Beautiful pen, Steven! One I needed to read and I laugh because of recognition of my own lack of faith. You are looking at a "friend in need". Thank you for this. Saved...
From a fellow wanderer, I like to live by surprise too. Sometimes my husband and I are a bit too 'spontaneous' living on our mountain that we've dubbed 'Happy Hippie Highlands'.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
