"I will lose myself in your eyes instead"

Poem Artwork

This Rambling Road

I have been wandering for so long now
Sometimes it feels like heaven sometimes hell
This rambling road of mine and yours as well
Will get us there but only God knows how

It seems so hard to get a step ahead
So easy to feel several steps behind
I will lose myself in your eyes instead
Of understanding lest I lose my mind

I am so glad you travel next to me
It seems the more I think about the road
Passing from October to November
The longer it is the heavier the load

But you remind me so I remember
This ramble is our march to be made free

It is nice to have friends to share that long road. It is nice to have conversation as we travel. Wonderful poem.
God Bless,
Lew

Great stuff, yes it can be a long road but as your poem so lovingly states it is a lot shorter when shared by two or more to pass the lonely and rough stretches. Great lines in this one.

Yes. I can relate to your sentiments, Stevie. I'm afraid that, with each passing day, I understand less and less. Thank you for this.

Love and peace to you, my friend,

Regis
