Poem Artwork

Remember those days that I wrote you?

You didn’t even answer.

Maybe I’ve seen you somewhere I don’t know.

My facial recognition is gone

answer lies buried in the snow.

I hope I hear from you real soon,

curiousity kills the cat

howling at the moon.

Write me, for real, do it, I dare you,

my friend, for one mind to become two.

The magic we could make, the world will awake to a new dawn,

the miracles we'd spawn

My mind’s reeling

with the feeling

of words born,

with heart torn,

in fire swoon,

beseech soon

I hope I hear from you real soon,

curiousity kills the cat

howling at the moon.

Write me, for real,  do it, I dare you,

my friend, for one mind to become two.

The magic we could make, the world will awake to a new dawn,

as miracles we'd spawn

This is a wonderful poem Elisabeth. It keeps pulling you in and wraps you up with every line.

Sounds like you still carry a curiosity of heart or perhaps desire for this person. Maybe it's time to contact him direct instead of through a poem, if he is not reading in here...he may never know your feelings.

If you insult the "guy" by entitling your poem "Hubris", he'd likely as not avoid you for the cat ! Quickly change the title before he notices what you are up to, and there'll be a good end, forever and forever, I guess !
