To make a rainbow

Poem Artwork

A river of tears
and all it takes
is a beam of
sunlight

To make a rainbow

And they say
beauty comes
from perfection

When in fact it comes

From the sharp
edge of pain
that remain
in scars

I've heard of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but your poem turning tears into rainbows and knife cuts into beauty marks takes the prize.

It helps to keep a positive imagination when faced with adversity. Another way of saying it is to always look at your morning coffee cup as being half full rather than half empty.
