Take the 1st letter of the 1st line. 2nd of the 2nd etc. The first 8 lines spell one of the early psychoactive drugs.

Poetry is my drug of choice. When I was on meds for anxiety (2-3 years), I wrote nothing. My muse was flushed away. Enough of that nonsense for me. I am anxious but very creative. It works for me!

I'm not entirely sure why, Roger, but this is easily up there in my top 3-5 poems of yours.
You turn words into artwork, designs that enhance your direction. As this cascades downward it proves that sometimes, punctuation would be a dry nuisance. It isn't about the words... it's about slicing a life open and peering into an essence. Sometimes when you compose, you are your most vulnerable and most exposed. Controlling how it reaches the reader is pure you. I love this one! katy xox
