A sweet feeling of peace often fills my heart as I light prayer candles for Christmas. . .

Christmas Flame
by The Poetess (SRP)

It dances in the shadow
Of a candle's little flame
And lingers on the memory
Of our first peaceful gain.

It embraces all that is
All that was and can be
And melts a bit of Love
Into the heart of me.

Concise...although I love romance to go on forever line after line, these brief verses do well such as this. Beautiful and so full of heartfelt meaning.

Simple, but profound.
Serene and sweet
without slipping into
saccharine. Touching
and tasteful.

Nicely done!
