Black Moon Rising
There are those times
Where even the most meticulous plans
Are laid to waste in an instant
By circumstances within our control
But not
I blame the black moon
There are those times
Where cursed events intertwine
With the blessed ones
Each feeding off the other
Leaving nothing
I blame the black moon
There are those times
Where impromptu dalliance
Is crushed by the weight
Of the omnipresent burdens
We endure
I blame the black moon
There are those times
Where heaven and earth collide
And we are powerless to avoid the aftermath
Relegated to picking up the shattered pieces and
Sweeping dust
I blame the black moon

Where heaven and earth collide
And we are powerless to avoid the aftermath
How so sadly true, and a wonderful dedication to Rufuz and his Dad.
